Sports Minister Anurag Thakur recently inaugurated the grand sporting event, emphasizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision for the development of sports in India. Thakur stated that the event, dubbed as the ‘Khel Mahakumbh,’ has become the premier platform for athletes from his Hamirpur parliamentary constituency to showcase their talents.
Following two successful editions, the third installment of the Khel Mahakumbh commenced with a splendid ceremony at the Luhnu ground in Bilaspur. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of cricketing stalwarts such as Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, and other dignitaries from the world of sports.
Thakur highlighted the significance of such events in fostering a culture of sportsmanship and providing a platform for budding talents to shine. He reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting sports at all levels and ensuring that every aspiring athlete receives the necessary support and encouragement.
