Positioned almost at the edge of the slip cordon, Jurel dove in front of the fielder at first slip, narrowly avoiding a collision with the second slip. His acrobatic effort ensured that the ball was securely held, dismissing Easwaran and leaving India B at 33-1 after the first hour’s play.
Following this critical dismissal, Musheer Khan from Mumbai entered the fray at No. 3 to join Jaiswal in the middle. The catch by Jurel not only provided India A with a crucial early advantage but also set the tone for what promises to be a captivating contest in this season’s Duleep Trophy.
