Veteran Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik recently revealed a poignant moment from the IPL 2024 season, sharing that he was convinced the match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) would be his final appearance. This belief stemmed from RCB’s dismal start, losing seven out of their first eight games, which seemingly dashed their playoff hopes.
In a candid video posted on RCB’s social media, Karthik recounted his thoughts during that challenging phase. “Three weeks ago, I made this decision that okay, seven losses from eight games, so this (May 18) will be my last day. I called 26 members of my family and I thought it would be my last day. But they ended up realizing that I may be playing a few more games.”
