West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from franchise Twenty20 cricket, effective at the end of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 season. Dwayne Bravo, a legendary figure in T20 cricket, had previously retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL) before the 2023 season, having enjoyed a successful stint with Chennai Super Kings where he was part of four title-winning campaigns. His international career came to a close after the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
For his final CPL season, Dwayne Bravo will represent the Trinbago Knight Riders, who will kick off their campaign on Sunday against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
With a remarkable record as the leading wicket-taker in T20 cricket, Dwayne Bravo has claimed 630 wickets in 578 matches and amassed 6,970 runs with the bat.
