The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the highest-ever prize money for the T20 World Cup 2024. With a record prize pool of USD 11.25 million, the upcoming tournament will be the most profitable in the competition’s history.
The champions of the 2024 T20 World Cup will receive at least USD 2.45 million, setting a new benchmark in cricketing rewards. The runners-up will not be left behind, taking home a substantial USD 1.28 million. The semi-finalists who miss out on the final will each receive USD 787,500, ensuring that their efforts are well-compensated.
Teams that do not progress beyond the Super 8 stage will still earn a significant USD 382,500 each. Those finishing in the ninth to twelfth positions will collect USD 247,500 each, while teams placed between thirteenth and twentieth will secure USD 225,000 each. Additionally, every team will earn an extra USD 31,154 for each match won during the tournament, excluding the semi-finals and final.
The 2024 T20 World Cup will be the biggest ever, with 55 matches played over 28 days. The event will take place across nine venues in the West Indies and the USA, highlighting its global appeal and significance.
