India vs Zimbabwe: Having clinched the ICC Men’s 2024 T20 World Cup played in West Indies and the United States, Team India’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe. The Men in Blue will play five T20I matches at the Harare Sports Club in Harare from July 6 to July 14.
Young Indian batter Shubman Gill has been named captain for the upcoming series in Zimbabwe. The squad also includes Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, and Tushar Deshpande, who did well in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Other important players in the team are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel, Avesh Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi.
Initially, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube (replacing the injured Nitish Reddy), and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who were part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad, were selected for all five T20Is. However, plans have changed. Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana will now replace Samson, Dube, and Jaiswal for the first two matches. According to an official statement from the BCCI on July 2, Samson, Dube, and Jaiswal will return to India with the rest of the World Cup squad and then travel to Harare to join the team for the last three matches.

- July 13: India vs Zimbabwe, 4th T20I, Harare Sports Club, Harare (4:30 PM IST)
- July 14: India vs Zimbabwe, 5th T20I, Harare Sports Club, Harare (4:30 PM IST)
With the recent World Cup victory boosting their morale, Team India will aim to continue their winning streak in Zimbabwe. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the young squad, under the leadership of Shubman Gill, will perform in the series.
