Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unexpected visit to the under-construction Varanasi stadium and sports complex following his engagements at a Kisan Samman Sammelan, Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, and prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Tuesday. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi expressed optimism about the impact of the Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Stadium on the youth of Kashi.

“Reviewed the progress at the Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Stadium in Kashi. This stadium and sports complex will greatly help the youth of Kashi,” PM Modi wrote on X, underscoring the facility’s potential.
During the visit, PM Modi engaged with officials, examined the model of the sports complex, and inspected various facilities. Photos shared by the Prime Minister showcased the stadium’s modern infrastructure, including floodlights and expansive green outfields.
This visit marks PM Modi’s first return to Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, following his resounding electoral victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections, highlighting his commitment to the region’s development and sporting infrastructure enhancement.
