Mohammed Shami Commences Training for Comeback After Ankle Injury

Due to an ankle injury, Mohammed Shami, the star fast bowler of Team India, is currently sidelined. Fans are delighted to see the 33-year-old starting his training as he gears up for a comeback.

Shami was last seen in action at the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he was the standout performer for the Men in Blue, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 27 scalps from just seven outings. The seasoned campaigner underwent surgery on February 26 and was subsequently ruled out of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL).

Shami took to his official Instagram account, posting a video that offered fans a sneak peek into his latest training session. With determination, he captioned the post: “Though injury may have sidelined me momentarily, it won’t deter me for long. Witness my return to the field.”

Notably, Mohammed Shami remains absent from India’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad as he recuperates from his injury. However, fans anticipate his return to international cricket in September during India’s Test series against Bangladesh.
