In a remarkable display of power hitting, Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Airee achieved the rare feat of striking six sixes in a single over during a T20 international match. This outstanding performance occurred in the ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup game against Qatar, held at Al Amerat Cricket Ground. Airee’s achievement places him alongside cricket greats Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard as only the third man to accomplish this in men’s T20Is.
During the game on Saturday, Airee faced Kamran Khan in the final over of Nepal’s batting innings. Before this over, he had scored 28 runs from 15 balls. His six consecutive sixes dramatically boosted his score to 64 runs from 21 balls, helping Nepal reach a competitive total of 210/7.
Yuvraj Singh was the first to set this record in the 2007 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and Kieron Pollard followed in 2021. Airee’s spectacular performance not only etched his name in cricket history but also showcased his immense talent and potential.
