The dramatic dismissal unfolded in the second over of the innings when Yash Dayal delivered a short-of-a-length ball outside the off stump. Mayank, looking to find a gap between the second and third slips, poked at the delivery, only to see Nitish Reddy diving to his right at second slip to complete a breathtaking one-handed catch.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the moment on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “WHAT. A. CATCH! Nitish Kumar Reddy pulls off a splendid diving catch at 2nd slip to dismiss Mayank Agarwal.”
Mayank Agarwal, who managed just three runs off four deliveries, had to depart, leaving India A at 7/1 in their pursuit. This catch by Nitish Reddy turned the momentum early on, showcasing his exceptional reflexes and fielding skills.
