Earlier, when Manu Bhaker won an individual bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol event, PM Modi had personally called her to commend her performance. On Tuesday, following the mixed team event success, he called Sarabjot Singh to offer his congratulations and inquire about the duo’s remarkable success.
PM Modi expressed his admiration, stating, “Many, many congratulations to you. You have made India proud. Your efforts have paid off. Extend my wishes to Manu as well. You missed out in the individual event by a very low margin. Yours and Manu’s pairing has shown brilliant teamwork. What is the reason behind it?”
In response, Sarabjot Singh shared, “Since 2019, we paired in the nationals and other tournaments. The experience was really good, and I hope to perform better the next time.”
