Afghanistan’s T20I skipper Rashid Khan married on Thursday, October 3, in a traditional Pashtun wedding ceremony held at the Imperial Continental Hotel in Kabul. The star leg spinner, along with his brother and two nephews, tied the knot in a grand celebration attended by his Afghan teammates.

Pakistani journalist Imran Siddique shared a few pictures of the event on platform X, offering fans a glimpse of the joyous occasion. Rashid Khan’s fan club also shared videos of the stunning fireworks that lit up the sky, adding a festive touch to the cricket star’s big day.
Rashid Khan is Afghanistan’s biggest cricket icon, with a remarkable record of 613 wickets from 445 T20 innings, making him the second-highest wicket-taker in the format. His leadership has been instrumental in Afghanistan’s cricket journey, as the team reached the semifinals of the 2024 T20 World Cup for the first time in its history, though their campaign ended with a loss to South Africa.
