Ravindra Jadeja Hits Back at Father’s Accusations, Defends Wife Rivaba

India’s renowned all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, has recently found himself entangled in familial discord as his father, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, openly criticized his wife, Rivaba, attributing her as the cause of a family schism.

During an interview with Divya Bhaskar, Jadeja’s father stated, “Let me tell you the truth. I have no connection with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. There’s no communication between us. The problems began a few months into their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in his separate bungalow in the same city. Despite living close by, I hardly get to see him. I’m clueless about the influence his wife holds over him.”

However, Ravindra Jadeja swiftly responded to these allegations, taking to social media platform X to release a statement in Gujarati, urging his father to refrain from tarnishing his wife’s reputation.

In his statement, Jadeja affirmed, “The claims made in the questionable interview with Divya Bhaskar are baseless and untrue. I refute those one-sided remarks. It’s inappropriate and reprehensible to smear my wife’s reputation. I have my grievances, but airing them in public wouldn’t be appropriate.”

Jadeja, who was sidelined from the second Test due to a hamstring injury, has been making significant progress in his recovery. With his home ground beckoning, the team management remains optimistic about his swift return to the field.
