James Anderson, one of the most successful seamers in Test cricket history, called time on his illustrious career that spanned 21 years. Anderson made his Test debut against Zimbabwe in 2003 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. On Friday, July 12, the third day of the first Test against West Indies at the same venue, Anderson bid farewell to fans worldwide. He concluded his career with a commendable performance, returning with four wickets in the match, including three in the second innings.
With four wickets remaining before play began on day three, Anderson dismissed Joshua de Silva. Player of the Match Gus Atkinson then took the last three wickets, finishing with 12 wickets in his debut Test.
