On Friday, Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj received an honorary appointment as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana. This announcement was made by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, recognizing Siraj’s significant contributions to the Indian cricket team, including their successful T20 World Cup campaign earlier this year.
In addition to the prestigious DSP position, the government granted Siraj a 600-square-yard plot of land near Road No. 78 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, further cementing his status as a celebrated athlete in his home state. Upon assuming his role as DSP, Siraj reported to the Director General of Police (DGP) Telangana Police, Dr. Jitender, marking a proud moment for the cricketer.
