In a much-anticipated announcement, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the Men’s T20 International Team of the Year for 2023. Suryakumar Yadav, the dynamic Indian batsman, has been honored with the captaincy role in this star-studded lineup, showcasing the best performers in the T20 format over the past year.
The opening duo for the team comprises Yashasvi Jaiswal from India and Phil Salt from England. Both players have showcased exceptional skills at the top of the order, providing explosive starts and setting the tone for their respective teams.
The top order is bolstered by the trio of Nicholas Pooran from the West Indies, Suryakumar Yadav himself, and Mark Chapman from New Zealand. Pooran, taking up the wicketkeeper’s role, adds both flair and stability to the batting lineup. Suryakumar Yadav, in addition to his captaincy responsibilities, is expected to anchor the innings, while Mark Chapman brings his Kiwi finesse to the middle order.
