After being invited to bat first, India posted a competitive total of 171 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings saw crucial contributions from Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. Despite a shaky start at 40 for 2 in 5.2 overs, the duo steadied the ship with a solid 73-run partnership. Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock, scoring 57 off 39 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav contributed with a vital 47 off 36 balls.
In the second innings, India’s bowlers took control of the game. Axar Patel delivered an exceptional performance, taking 3 wickets for just 23 runs, and Kuldeep Yadav also shone with figures of 3 for 19. Their efforts ensured that England were bowled out, securing a decisive victory for India.
