Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was seen dancing in delight alongside Varun Chakravarthy and Ramandeep Singh after the team’s emphatic IPL 2024 final victory. KKR triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in a one-sided summit clash held in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.
The KKR players and team management celebrated their triumph with an exuberant after-party, where Nayar, Chakravarthy, and Ramandeep were seen grooving to the popular song ‘Desi Boyz’. The joyful scenes highlighted the camaraderie and spirit within the KKR camp.
The IPL 2024 final was a dominating performance by Kolkata. After electing to bat first, Hyderabad was bundled out for a meager 113, marking the lowest-ever total in an IPL final. Andre Russell was the standout bowler, picking up three wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana chipped in with two wickets each.
Kolkata chased down the target in just 10.3 overs, thanks to Venkatesh Iyer’s unbeaten 52-run knockoff of 26 balls. This comprehensive victory not only secured the title for KKR but also set the stage for a night of celebrations, perfectly encapsulated by Nayar and his fellow teammates dancing in jubilation.
