West Indies A Concludes Nepal Tour with Loss, Series Victory

West Indies A wrapped up their tour of South Asia with a disappointing six-wicket loss to Nepal in the final match of a five-match T20 series at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Despite clinching the series 3-2, the Caribbean side’s victory was overshadowed by their inability to deliver a dominant team performance.

Individual brilliance from players like captain Roston Chase, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Alick Athanaze, and a standout performance from Obed McCoy with the ball characterized West Indies A’s campaign. Athanaze’s unbeaten 42 and Chase’s quickfire 33 were the highlights of their innings, as they posted 172-7 after choosing to bat first.

Nepal’s Sagar Dhakal and Sompal Kami wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming three wickets each. In response, Nepal comfortably chased down the target with contributions from Aasif Sheikh (51) and Anil Sah (58), sealing victory with seven balls to spare despite McCoy’s efforts, who finished with figures of 3-36.
