The game’s defining moment came when Aaliyah Alleyne hit the winning boundary on the last ball of the 18th over. Her crucial shot sealed a six-wicket victory over England with two overs to spare. As the ball crossed the boundary, the West Indies dugout erupted into celebration, with the team joyfully rushing onto the field to celebrate their triumph.

Chasing a target of 142, WI openers Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph put on a fantastic display, adding 102 runs for the first wicket in just 74 balls. Matthews played a composed knock of 50 off 38 deliveries, featuring seven boundaries and one six. Her partner Joseph also impressed with 52 runs from 38 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes.
Deandra Dottin further strengthened the West Indies’ chase with a quickfire 27 off 19 balls, helping the team achieve a comfortable six-wicket victory. The win ensured West Indies finished at the top of Group B, confidently advancing to the semi-finals of the tournament.
