Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh shared a touching message for Australian opener David Warner, who retired from international cricket on Tuesday, June 25. Warner, from Victoria, is one of the most loved foreign cricketers in India.
Warner’s international career ended unceremoniously after Australia crashed out of the T20 World Cup 2024, following Afghanistan’s victory over Bangladesh in the final Super 8 clash. The left-handed batter had already retired from Test and ODI cricket. Several former cricketers took to social media to wish Warner well on his retirement, with Yuvraj Singh joining the bandwagon to celebrate the celebrated cricketer.

He added, “You were a feared batsman, a lively teammate, and a real entertainer both on and off the field. It was great being in the dressing room with you, buddy. Take care, #legend, and enjoy your deserved break with your family.”
Warner’s departure marks the end of an era for Australian cricket, as fans and former teammates alike reflect on his remarkable contributions to the sport. His aggressive batting style, combined with his entertaining personality, has left an indelible mark on cricket fans worldwide.
